About the tides at False River

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 2.3 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most California stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 3.5 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 2.5 ft, on October 11.
