About the tides at Hix Bridge

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Hix Br., Westport R., E. Branch, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Newport, Narragansett Bay. The average range is about 2.5 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Massachusetts stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.8 ft on September 2, and the lowest is −0.6 ft on January 23.
