About the tides at Julington Creek

Julington Creek has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Bar Pilots Dock, St Johns River. The mean range is small, about 0.7 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.2 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −0.3 ft on January 23.

Julington Creek is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Bar Pilots Dock, St Johns River: highs come about 238 min and lows about 313 min later than there.
