About the tides at Kalgin Island (north end)
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Kaligan Island (North End), Cook Inlet, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. Kalgin Island (north end) sees a mean range of about 16.0 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 18.7 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 27.0 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 9.9 ft, today. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 23.0 ft on January 23 and bottom out at −5.6 ft on December 24.
