About the tides at Kanatak Lagoon

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at KODIAK, Womens Bay. The range is large, about 9.3 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 13.2 ft. Neap tides follow on Tuesday, when the range shrinks to 9.4 ft.

Kanatak Lagoon is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting KODIAK, Womens Bay: highs come about 21 min and lows about 51 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1923 to 1984 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Puale Bay, 28 mi away, where high tide comes about 7 min later.
