About the tides at Lenoxville Point

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Cape Hatteras Fishing Pier. The average range is about 2.4 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.6 ft on November 25, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 23.

Lenoxville Point is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Cape Hatteras Fishing Pier: highs come about 78 min and lows about 71 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1978 to 1996 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Channel Marker Lt. 59, 0.3 mi away, where high tide comes about 7 min later.
