About the tides at Milford Harbor
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.5 ft. The range is large, about 6.3 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most Connecticut stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 6.9 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 7.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 5.5 ft.
