About the tides at Millville

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Lewes, Ft. Miles. The average range is about 4.6 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak on October 28, with a range of 6.8 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 3.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 6.8 ft on August 3, and the lowest is −1.3 ft on January 23.

Millville is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Lewes, Ft. Miles: highs come about 213 min and lows about 216 min later than there.
