About the tides at North Dawson Landing
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at N. Dawson Lnd. Coosawhatchie R., each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. The range is large, about 7.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 10.0 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −2.1 ft on January 23.
North Dawson Landing is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Fort Pulaski, Savannah River: highs come about 154 min and lows about 130 min later than there.
