About the tides at Palix River

Palix River has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Toke Point, Willapa Bay. With a mean range of about 6.9 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 12.5 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 5.4 ft, on October 31. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 11.7 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −2.7 ft on July 5.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Toke Point, Willapa Bay, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Bay Center, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 16 min earlier. For tidal currents, see South Bend, Willapa River.

Predictions are based on Toke Point, Willapa Bay.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
