About the tides at Pine Harbor
Pine Harbor has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. With a mean range of about 7.0 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 8.6 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 7.4 ft, on Sunday.
Pine Harbor is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Bellville Point, 1 mi away, where high tide comes about 9 min later. For tidal currents, see Sutherland Bluff, Sapelo River.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
