About the tides at Pine Point
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.9 ft. The range is large, about 8.8 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 9.5 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 26, with a range of 10.9 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 6.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 11.1 ft on December 25, and the lowest is −1.4 ft on January 23.
This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here in 2002 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Old Orchard Beach, 3 mi away. For tidal currents, see Saco River Entrance.
