About the tides at Pleasant Harbor
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Seattle, Puget Sound. The range is large, about 7.5 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on Tuesday, with a range of 12.2 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 6.6 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.2 ft on January 25, and the lowest is −4.0 ft on December 24.
Pleasant Harbor is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Seattle, Puget Sound: highs come about 14 min and lows about 1 min earlier than there. The nearest other station is Seabeck, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 10 min later. For tidal currents, see Hazel Point.
Predictions are based on Seattle, Puget Sound.
