About the tides at Seabeck
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Seattle, Puget Sound. The range is large, about 7.5 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on Tuesday, with a range of 12.2 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 6.5 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.2 ft on January 25, and the lowest is −4.2 ft on December 24.
Seabeck is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Seattle, Puget Sound: highs come about 4 min earlier and lows about 1 min later than there. The nearest other station is Pleasant Harbor, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 10 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Hazel Point.
Predictions are based on Seattle, Puget Sound.
