About the tides at Point Adolphus
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Elfin Cove, Port Althorp. The tide range here is very large, about 11.2 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 18.3 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.6 ft on July 5.
Point Adolphus is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Elfin Cove, Port Althorp: highs come about 29 min and lows about 35 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1976 to 1990 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Mud Bay, Goose Island, 10 mi away, where high tide comes about 23 min earlier.
