About the tides at Racy Point

Racy Point has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The mean range is small, about 1.1 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 1.3 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 1.0 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 2.0 ft on October 11, and the lowest is −0.4 ft on February 21.
