About the tides at Tocoi
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at East Tocoi, St. Johns River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Mayport (Bar Pilot Dock). Water here rises and falls only about 0.9 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.1 ft, comes tomorrow, and the smallest, 0.6 ft, on October 18. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 1.3 ft on October 27 and bottom out at −0.3 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Mayport (Bar Pilot Dock), with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
