About the tides at San Leandro Marina

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The range is large, about 5.3 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most California stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 7.8 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 3.7 ft.

This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. The nearest other station is Oakland Airport, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 15 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Oakland Airport, southwest of.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
