About the tides at Sawyer Key, outside, Cudjoe Channel

Sawyer Key, outside, Cudjoe Channel has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Key West. On a typical day the water moves about 2.7 ft between high and low. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 3.6 ft, comes tomorrow, and the smallest, 2.7 ft, on October 20. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 4.0 ft on October 29 and bottom out at −0.3 ft on January 21.
