About the tides at Snook Haven

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. Water here rises and falls only about 1.1 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.6 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.2 ft, comes on October 29, and the smallest, 1.0 ft, on Thursday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 2.3 ft on October 29 and bottom out at −0.8 ft on January 21.

Predictions for Snook Haven come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here from 2022 to 2024 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Myakka River, 5 mi away, where high tide comes about 37 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Venice Inlet.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
