About the tides at Teague Creek
Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.4 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. The mean range is small, about 2.0 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is larger than most Maryland stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 3.0 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 1.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.0 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −0.7 ft on January 23.
Teague Creek is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel: highs come about 338 min and lows about 365 min later than there. The nearest other station is Long Point, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 19 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Manokin R. Ent., 1.1 n.mi. E of Drum Pt.
Predictions are based on Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
