About the tides at Great Shoals Light

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The average range is about 2.2 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Maryland stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 3.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 2.3 ft.
