About the tides at Tyndall Glacier
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. With a mean range of about 7.6 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 9.8 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 12.0 ft, comes on Sunday, and the smallest, 3.3 ft, on October 17. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 12.5 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −3.0 ft on July 5.
