About the tides at Ward Cove

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Revillagigedo Is, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Ketchikan, Tongass Narrows. Ward Cove sees a mean range of about 12.7 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 19.4 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −4.2 ft on July 5.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Ketchikan, Tongass Narrows, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Vallenar Point, 5 mi away. For tidal currents, see Rosa Reef, 0.5 mile north of.

Predictions are based on Ketchikan, Tongass Narrows.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
