About the tides at Wednesday Point
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Key Largo, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Government Cut, Miami Harbor Entrance. The mean range is small, about 0.7 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 1.0 ft. Neap tides follow on October 19, when the range shrinks to 0.3 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.1 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.4 ft on January 23.
Wednesday Point is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Government Cut, Miami Harbor Entrance: highs come about 158 min and lows about 210 min later than there.
