About the tides at Westerly
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The average range is about 2.7 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Rhode Island stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.2 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 3.3 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 2.5 ft.
Westerly is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting NEW LONDON, State Pier: highs come about 21 min earlier and lows about 3 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1961 to 2015 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Weekapaug Point, 5 mi away, where high tide comes about 35 min earlier.
