About the tides at Birch Islands

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Birch Islands, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. Birch Islands sees a mean range of about 16.7 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Maine stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 19.8 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 16.1 ft, on Saturday.
