About the tides at Blessing Plantation

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.4 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at CHARLESTON (Customhouse Wharf). On a typical day the water moves about 2.8 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most South Carolina stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.2 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 3.4 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 2.5 ft, on Sunday.
