About the tides at Dodge Island

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Miami Ship Base, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Miami Beach, Government Cut. Water here rises and falls only about 2.0 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 3.1 ft on September 29 and bottom out at −0.8 ft on January 23.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Miami Beach, Government Cut, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. NOAA measured the tide here from 1972 to 1974 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Miami Miamarina, 1 mi away, where high tide comes about 9 min earlier.
