About the tides at Virginia Key

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Biscayne Bay, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. On a typical day the water moves about 2.0 ft between high and low. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.2 ft. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 3.0 ft on September 29 and bottom out at −0.7 ft on January 23.
