About the tides at Miami Harbor Entrance
Miami Harbor Entrance has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The average range is about 2.5 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.7 ft. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 3.3 ft. Neap tides follow on October 19, when the range shrinks to 1.6 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.7 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 23.
