About the tides at Echo Bay

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.4 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Port Townsend, Admiralty Inlet. The range is large, about 5.6 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on Wednesday, with a range of 9.3 ft. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 5.0 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 10.1 ft on December 26, and the lowest is −3.6 ft on July 4.

Echo Bay is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Port Townsend, Admiralty Inlet: highs come about 61 min and lows about 94 min later than there.
