About the tides at El Capitan Passage

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. With a mean range of about 8.9 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 11.2 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 13.6 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 7.2 ft, on Friday.
