About the tides at El Capitan Passage, Dry Pass

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The range is large, about 9.5 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 11.7 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 14.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 7.6 ft.
