About the tides at Garden Cove

Garden Cove has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Government Cut, Miami Harbor Entrance. The average range is about 2.0 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Saturday, with a range of 2.9 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 1.2 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.2 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 23.
