About the tides at Gross Point
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.8 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Bar Harbor, Frenchman Bay. With a mean range of about 10.0 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 13.1 ft on August 4 and bottom out at −1.8 ft on January 23.
