About the tides at Gulf Beach
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Gulf Beach, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. With a mean range of about 6.3 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most Connecticut stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 6.9 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 7.6 ft, comes on October 10, and the smallest, 5.5 ft, on Sunday.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Bridgeport, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
