About the tides at Hix Bridge

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at East Branch, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The average range is about 2.6 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Massachusetts stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 3.5 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 2.4 ft.

Hix Bridge is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Newport: highs come about 100 min and lows about 150 min later than there.
