About the tides at Hunter Bay

Hunter Bay has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka. Hunter Bay sees a mean range of about 10.1 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 14.5 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 8.2 ft, on Friday.
