About the tides at Kassa Inlet entrance

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka, Baronof Island, Sitka Sound. The tide range here is very large, about 10.1 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 14.4 ft. Neap tides follow on October 17, when the range shrinks to 5.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 15.2 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.1 ft on July 5.
