About the tides at Keete Island

Keete Island has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka. Keete Island sees a mean range of about 10.2 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 14.6 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 8.3 ft, on Friday.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Sitka, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
