About the tides at Menemsha Harbor
Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.5 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The average range is about 2.8 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Massachusetts stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 4.0 ft on August 2, and the lowest is −0.7 ft on February 21.
This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here from 1994 to 2013 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Squibnocket Point, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 11 m earlier. For tidal currents, see Gay Head, 3 miles northeast of.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
