About the tides at Nantasket Beach

Nantasket Beach has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. With a mean range of about 9.0 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 11.5 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 8.6 ft, on Sunday.
