About the tides at Parker
Tides at Parker are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. The mean range is small, about 1.4 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. The next spring tides peak on Saturday, with a range of 2.2 ft. Neap tides follow on October 8, when the range shrinks to 0.3 ft.
Parker is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Panama City, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 20 m earlier. For tidal currents, see Paper Mill.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
