About the tides at Quinby Creek bridge
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.4 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Charleston, Cooper River Entrance. The average range is about 2.8 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most South Carolina stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.2 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 28, with a range of 4.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 0.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.9 ft on September 30, and the lowest is −2.1 ft on January 23.
Quinby Creek bridge is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Charleston, Cooper River Entrance: highs come about 277 min and lows about 252 min later than there.
