About the tides at Redfield Cove

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.6 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Yakutat, Yakutat Bay. With a mean range of about 7.8 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 12.1 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 6.4 ft, on Friday.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Yakutat, Yakutat Bay, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
