About the tides at Reid Bay

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.3 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka. The tide range here is very large, about 10.0 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 14.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 8.1 ft.
