About the tides at Sumner Island

Sumner Island has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka, Baronof Island, Sitka Sound. With a mean range of about 9.9 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 15.2 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −3.2 ft on July 5.
