About the tides at Rocky Hill
Rocky Hill has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The mean range is small, about 1.9 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Connecticut stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.3 ft. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 2.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 1.9 ft.
