About the tides at Seldovia

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 1.5 ft. The tide range here is very large, about 15.5 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 18.0 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 26.1 ft.
